FAQs

Where are you based?

We’re based just outside of Preston - so we can offer showreel scenes to actors based anywhere in the North West including Manchester, Preston, Blackpool, Liverpool, Warrington and more!

How long will my scene be?

The scripts provided by us will be up to 2 pages / 2 minutes long, and any scripts provided by you must follow the same guidelines in order to make use of our base price packages. Longer scenes can absolutely be accommodated, but they may incur an additional fee!

Don’t forget, you won’t want to include the full scene in your showreel, and will actually only want to include the best snippet (roughly 20 seconds or so!)

How much does a scene cost?

You can find all information about our prices here!

How long will I have with you?

We are with you for 4 hours per scene!

How many people can be in my scene?

To take advantage of our base price packages, scenes must usually be a two hander (there are some circumstances where that wouldn’t be the case though, and it really depends on the scene itself and how much additional time will be required to shoot and edit it!)

We can absolutely accommodate 3+ hander scenes, but there may be additional charges associated.

Who is responsible for sourcing the location?

We ask that you find the location/s appropriate for shooting your scene/s in. You must have permission from the owner before filming can take place. We can help you to source locations, however filming location rental fees can often be hefty and we want to ensure the prices are as cost effective as possible for all actors we work with, so it is always encouraged that you source locations yourself.

What about parking at the filming location?

We will require clear access to the filming location as well as parking for the duration of the shoot.

Who is responsible for sourcing the props and costumes?

Again, we ask that you source all costumes and props required for your scene. If it is requested that we write a scene that requires specialist props, e.g. prop weaponry, you will be responsible for sourcing the prop and ensuring that all appropriate paperwork and guidelines are followed. We can help with this for an additional fee.

Who is responsible for sourcing my scene partner?

It is best if you find your own scene partner (and that way you could even split the cost between you!).

We can help to find you a scene partner, but in that instance you would be liable for the full cost of the scene yourself and would be unable to split the cost with your scene partner.

How long will it take to receive my scene back?

We aim to return first draft scenes back to you within 14 working days of the shoot date.

What does the revision process look like?

We offer one round of changes on all scenes, and will endeavour to make as many of the changes as possible! If a change can’t be made, we will always offer an explanation and will work with you to ensure we deliver the best possible final product.

What about music and sound effects for my scene?

We provide all music and sound effects from our commercially licensed library!

Are there any additional costs?

A breakdown of our costs can be found here, but there may be additional costs incurred such as travel fees (beyond 30 miles) etc. Any additional costs will be outlined ahead of your booking being confirmed, so there will be no nasty surprises!

Do you take a deposit?

Yes, we take 50% of the total cost of the scene plus any additional extras up front, and this will need paying ahead of the filming date to secure your booking. The remaining 50% will be invoiced on the day of shooting, and will be due within 14 days.
